Step up your Career with a Healthcare Management Degree!
The primary objective of the Associate of Science in Healthcare Management program is to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to work successfully in a healthcare management position. Graduates of the program find positions in entry-level office management, work in health care facilities, hospitals, clinics, physicians offices, insurance companies and long-term are facilities.
The Associate Degree in Healthcare Management is designed as a hybrid program. The technical courses are all face-to-face and are offered at the same schedule as our existing programs. The general education and management courses are all online and are designed to be taken after a student has completed the face-to-face portion.
Healthcare Management Overview

The student can choose one of three tracks: Medical Assistant, LVN, or Medical Billing/Coding track.

After the student is done with the existing track, the student can enroll in distance learning courses. These are fast-paced courses.

The 5 general education courses are taken online and are 6 weeks each. (Total of 30 weeks or 7.5 months)

The 7 business courses are taken online and are 4 weeks each. (Total of 28 weeks or 7 months)

The face to face technical portion will take approximately 10 months for MA or MB tracks, or 14 months for the LVN track.
Occupational Objective
Upon completion of the program, students will be employable in entry-level management positions that require competencies in either one of the following tracks: medical billing and coding, medical assisting or nursing. Additional, the student will graduate with competencies in managerial aspects such as accounting and human resource management that will accelerate their transition into supervisory roles.
